Promising projects
We supported Pôle IMT (in collaboration with PERFORM and the Conseil québécois des ressources humaines en tourisme) in creating Vision IMT, an analytics solution designed to better understand labor market dynamics.
Challenges
The project had to address several complex technical challenges: managing diverse external data sources, synchronizing asynchronous refreshes, harmonizing different data granularities between sources, and ensuring a seamless experience for all users, regardless of their data literacy level.
Results
Today, Vision IMT is live and used by more than 100 users across Quebec’s 29 CSMOs. The solution enables data-driven decision-making and supports concrete actions in the field through four main themes (Demographics, Employment and Labor Market, Economy, Education and Training), integrating 44 Statistics Canada tables automatically and continuously updating 23 key indicators.
Technology used
The solution was developed with Microsoft Power BI and built on a Microsoft Azure data infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and accessibility for all users.
Olymel, one of Canada’s largest agri-food companies, is migrating its ERP system to optimize operations.
To ensure the continuity of critical processes before the new ERP goes live, ventriloc supported Olymel in developing a dedicated application for managing supplier accounts.
Challenge
The project needed to allow Olymel to continue creating, modifying, deactivating, and reactivating supplier accounts, even though these processes would not yet be supported in the new ERP. It also required a configuration center that would let administrators manage user access and functionalities while providing a simple and intuitive experience for end users.
Result
The application is now used by 300 users each month, centralizing and automating the creation, modification, deactivation, and reactivation of supplier accounts. With Power BI integration, teams can now analyze this data in real time, access key indicators, and make informed decisions to optimize supplier management.

We supported Olymel in implementing a strategic data warehouse
Our goal was to centralize and standardize sales and market data for pork and poultry production in order to analyze consumer behavior.
Challenge
The project required managing more than 70 tables from heterogeneous sources (Excel, CSV, Parquet, AS400 databases) with asynchronous refreshes, while ensuring data quality and reliability despite frequent format changes.
Another key challenge was to unify internal and external product codes to maintain consistency and traceability across the system.
Result
The data warehouse, built on Microsoft Fabric, now enables more than 100 Olymel users to explore data and create their own analyses.
Thanks to a medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold), SCD mechanisms, and a global product master data, the solution delivers reliable and actionable insights on consumer behavior and sales performance.
